Having a properly set up Google Analytics account helps you understand where your website visitors are coming from, what they're doing on your site, and most importantly, which areas of the site need improving.

Search Console

Search Console shows us data about what people are searching for to find your site, and how your pages are performing in search results.

Formerly known as Webmaster Tools, Search Console is a goldmine of information and opportunities for keyword optimisation. The tools and resources in Search Console allow us to not only track the performance of your site, but also identify and respond to crawl errors using data provided straight from Google.

If you haven't already set up Search Console, it only takes around 3 minutes, and is one of the best SEO tools out there, and it's free!

Keyword tracking

I use a variety of tools to track all the keywords your website is ranking for, and in where each page ranks for those keywords.

Your reports are not limited to the top 10, 25, or even 100 keywords. I can track literally thousands of keywords, and provide detailed analysis of positions, taking into account actual traffic coming to your website for those terms, and click-through-rate from Google.

Whilst keywords aren't my favourite way to track a campaign's success - I prefer actual traffic to important pages and revenue - they are an important indicator of how your site is performing against your competitors'.

Each month I provide you with a detailed report that covers everything you need to understand in great depth not just your website's performance, but also which actions I took to get those results and how I plan to build on them in subsequent months.
